Assuming there are tables EMP and EMP2, which have the same schema, and there are possible duplicate IDs present in them — the following query will help us identify the unique records:

Schema:

CREATE TABLE EMP (NAME VARCHAR(30), ID INT(5))
CREATE TABLE EMP2 (NAME VARCHAR(30), ID INT(5))

Query:

SELECT ID FROM EMP UNION SELECT ID FROM EMP2;
